One day, I was called in to work to help give RNs in ICU breaks due to staff shortage. I was giving the Tele tech a break when God the Father said to me… “I want you to go and pray for that man!” He pointed to the room that was right opposite the desk I was sitting at. I didn’t know if the patient was a man or woman but when I heard the voice of God, I looked at the monitor screen and sure enough it was a man just as God had said.
Not knowing how I’d go to the room legally due to privacy laws, I asked God, “How do I go in there and he is not my patient?” Immediately the pumps in his room began to beep, needing immediate attention since it was in ICU and his nurse was busy with another patient. Then the Holy Spirit said, “there’s you cue! You can now go in legally.”
Hahaha God is amazing! I went and gowned up since it was an isolation room, the nurse saw me and she was very grateful for my assistance, I had full backing now. I went in, introduced myself as I fixed the drip. Then I asked the patient’s wife if she believed in prayer. She said yes. I told her that God had sent me to pray for her husband. I said “that means God wants to heal your husband”. I also said to her that I don’t know what diagnosis or what the doctors had said about him, but I knew what the Father had said and His word is the truth. I encouraged her to believe and hold on to that word against all odds! Needless to say, her husband was healed, and people at work were shocked! One coworker said, “I will never call anyone dead unless God says it because the man we called dead came back to life!”

“During the six weeks we spent in the hospital, I learned what it meant to have faith. I met Gift Zawadi Love about three weeks into the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) stay. The day she first entered my husband’s hospital room, the impression I got of her was, ‘that the woman was of God!’
She asked if she could pray for my husband and I gladly agreed. She began to pray, placing her hand on my upper back and immediately I felt overwhelmed with peace and all I could do was cry. She stayed a little while and spoke to my daughter and I about God. She encouraged me to believe and trust in God. She told me how mighty God was; that if He could raise Lazarus from the dead after three days, bring the weeping mother’s son back from the dead, and resurrect the dry bones in desert, then my husband’s issue was nothing to Him.
She encouraged me to pray and believe. I thought, “my God! Where did this woman come from? She’s been here all along, but never interacted with me until now?” I thought she was just a monitor tech, I didn’t even know she was a nurse until after my husband was discharged from the hospital.
But Oh what timing God has! God sent this woman, Gift Zawadi, to be my pillar of hope in the middle of the fierce storm. To bless me, encourage me, and to help me continue believing when everyone else around me had given up hope including the doctors and nurses.
When everyone else said my husband was dead, she said he was alive! I chose to believe what God said through His servant Gift, and my husband lived! This amazed everyone. As 2 Chronicles 20:20 says that when we believe in the Lord our God, we will be able to stand firm and if we believe in His prophets, we will succeed. God sent me help, and I believe that God is sending you help today as well, through His daughter in this heaven sent book. I am forever grateful for Gift.” -A Jefferson.
