Love Gives 100% Nothing less
Love is a person whose character is patience, kindness, not envious, not boastful, not proud. Does not dishonor others, not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs. Does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Never stops loving. Are you love? Like God is love?
Love gives 100% nothing less.
What do you have?
“Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.” 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT
The Father saw that humanity had a need, which no one could fulfill. He saw us dying from sin, which was made worse when the law was introduced. He began the work of redemption in the Garden of Eden when Adam and eve sinned. God slaughtered a lamb, stripped it of its clothing/skin and clothed the naked Adam and Eve. This sacrifice was symbolic of what was to come.
In Isaiah 63:5, The Father said that He looked for a plan of salvation and He found none. So He came up with a plan.
“I looked, but there was no one to help, And I wondered That there was no one to uphold; Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; And My own fury, it sustained Me.” Isaiah 63:5 NKJV
When we sin, we become naked and ashamed. But now with Christ, we are cleansed and have the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Christ’s garment of righteousness is what the Father clothes us with once we accept Christ in our lives.
Christ says;
“I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.” Revelation 3:18-19 NKJV
““Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” Revelations 16:15 NKJV
God’s desired for us to be His children; therefore, He planted a seed of a Son, which was what He had for what He wanted to harvest. He looked for a seed among His resources. He did not create a superhuman or another species to redeem us. He had to get from His own resources. In the same way, God has given us everything we need to love and serve Him. To accomplish His perfect will. What do you have in your possession? What gifts have you received from Him? When you follow God’s lead, and let it cost you all you have just like it did Him, you will reap a great harvest for eternity.
What do you have that God needs to use 100% for His Kingdom and glory?
God asked Moses what he had in his hand, so he could use it to deliver His children from captivity.
Christ asked His disciples what they had so He could feed the hungry crowd that came to seek God’s word.
Today, He is asking you, what do you have that I may use it for my glory? What do you have so I may use it to grow and multiply the Kingdom? What do you have from what I have given to you freely?
“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8 NKJV
