Whose Grace do you Possess?

I was having a conversation today with a friend who when I shared the goodness of God in my life, was very happy for me, celebrated with me saying, “I want to tap into the grace upon your life so it may also happen to me. They say if you show me who your friends are I will tell you who you will become.”

Stop reading this for a minute and think… what would your response to my friend be?

I responded by saying never tap into any human being’s grace. Do not look at the grace upon someone else because we all were created differently and with different purposes. You have no idea what they do in secret; why would you want to limit yourself to their grace? I have always taught that Christ is the only person we follow and emulate. My Father tells us whose grace we ought to tap into in His word because it is flawless and sufficient for our created purpose.

One’s grace is given to them according to their assignment, unlike another’s. Why tap into their grace while you have your own, which you should get from the main source of Grace? In 2 Corinthians, we read…

“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV)

The only perfect and sufficient grace we need is that of the one who paid it all for us. Our Lord Jesus Christ. This grace carries us through this life and prepares us for eternity. Titus 2:11-14 says…

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” (Titus 2:11-14 NIV)

May we always follow Christ, not man. May we get grace from Christ, love from the Father, and wisdom to live a God-fearing life from fellowshipping with God the Holy Spirit. May we be ready for Christ’s glorious return. Amen! Amen!
Whose grace do you possess?
